The Motorola Droid was the first Android 2.0 device on the market, globally, and has been one of the most successful Android smart phones to date. The goal with the design was to create an expression of the advanced technology and features that this product delivers. It received the Gadget of the Year award by TIME magazine at the end of 2009.
The MotoRoi was conceived as a tablet version of the original Droid. A key goal was to create strong differentiation over similarly sized and featured devices – the route we took was to focus on the imaging features. A unique front icon results from the inclusion of a dedicated mode toggle key to enable fast switching between still and video photography modes.
